Danny and Frankie Fowkes took over The Carpenters Arms back in June 2015.
We had a dream of changing the Gastropub/Restaurant into a local village pub for everyone to enjoy, revive the good old British pub.
The first step we took was reviewing the beer, we regularly have local ales making an appearance. Hooky from Hook Norton Brewery being one of the most popular.
We then looked at the food, We believe in simple home cooked meals, handmade pizza and the rebirth of the "Basket Meal". All for great value prices.
Third was to introduce the locally played games. Here at The Carpenters Arms now we now have two darts teams and the traditional Oxfordshire game of Aunt Sally has arrived back in Fulbrook with our new Aunt Sally team. Yes, we have won a couple of trophies...
Lastly was to welcome everyone through our door, including families, walkers, dogs, musicians, beer enthusiasts, meeting groups and tourists.
Here at The Carpenters Arms we like to be able to facilitate for anyone that wishes to join us.
We have a large garden with lots of space to sit and relax whilst eating or enjoying a cool drink in the sun. We can fit a large marquee in our garden just next to our BBQ hut for private functions should you wish to hire us for your event.
Highchairs and changing facilities are also available for the little ones and we also have access to all areas of the venue for both pushchairs and wheelchair users.
